We print linerless labels in collaboration with applicator manufacturer Ravenwood Packaging.
This ensures a precise, reliable labelling process for our customers.
ProPrint follow Ravenwood's strict code of requirements to print fully approved and functional linerless labels. Your order will be confirmed with its place secured in the production schedule within 30 minutes. Our highly automated process and recognised label machinery means we offer the ultimate responsive service. Our operations are ideally suited to the fresh food and retail sector. We appreciate that our customers need labels delivered quickly. Challenges such as sudden increases in produce volume, needing to respond to competitor activity or urgent requests for labels from large retailers can be overcome.
ProPrint can print linerless labels using either digital print, digital-flexo hybrid print or flexographic print. This choice of methods means we can use whichever process is most suitable for our client's label designs and volumes. Our dedicated linerless label presses are state-of-the-art with built in technology - ensuring the highest print quality. Our digital inkjet press uses high performance, scratch-resistant, durable inks. All materials used for linerless label printing are approved substrates verified by the Ravenwood team for use on their application machinery. Find out more about the available linerless substrates here.
As part of our recognised Ravenwood linerless production process, we use only approved varnishes for use with Ravenwood application machinery. This ensures a seamless application process later on, as all finishes are tried and tested. This upholds the reliability of the "circle of linerless" concept we support. Matt, gloss and satin varnishes are available.
Printed reels are processed using our Ravenwood supplied coating machine. The coating machine cures UV silicone tracks in strategically agreed positions to fit the customer's tray. Following this, the glue is applied to the underneath of the substrate. The positioning mirrors where the silicone tracks are placed. As a result the reel can be wound without the need for a glassine (siliconised) liner. Label reels are then finished to a number of labels per reel to suit the customer applicators.
Our barcode scanning system ensures we can track millions of labels that we manufacture and deliver each week. Print orders are monitored from the initial label enquiry to the finished label reel, and of course throughout delivery. We have complete traceability of every reel dispatched to our customers. This is critical for retail labelling and of course our BRC accreditation.
