All our board packaging is print using the lithographic print process offering the use of Ultraviolet (UV) inks, running speeds up to 16,000 sheets per hour. Offset litho printing is widely accepted as a very high quality print finish, particularly for large areas of solid colour and gradients used in packaging design. Print density and registration control is built into the software of our state-of-the-art machinery. The ProPrint Group team print CMYK and pantones in one print pass or can add an additional pass in perfect register. Ink is applied using precision printing plates that we manufacture and quality check in-house. Controlling print quality using the latest technology facilitates the varied printed packaging we produce for sectors including confectionery, food, cosmetics, leisure, gifts & DIY. All the products we use during the manufacturing process are in accordance with EU regulations.
ProPrint Group offers an extensive range of carton boards and specialist materials including metallic and premium boards. FSC accredited materials are available on request.
Varnishes can be used to enhance the packaging appearance and also to prevent marking or scratching. ProPrint Group can apply dual varnishes in line to achieve a matt and gloss effect. This can enhance the smallest of text and image areas to give a luxury print finish. Varnishes available are UV gloss, matt, satin & pearlescent, as well as water-based gloss, matt & soft-touch varnish. Other finishes are also available, such as hot foiling, lamination, embossing/debossing, braille, debasing and window patching.
All of our cutting machines have waste stripping facilities to remove window apertures or unwanted areas of board. This speeds up our print manufacturing process and ensures prompt delivery of orders to our customers. Our latest Brausse die cutting machines have the capability of running speeds up to 8000 sheets per hour making us competitive on long runs.
From our range of converting machines we are able to convert a multitude of carton constructions from basic to complex.
